Co-Founders

Nathan

Nathan was the first employee of a startup Private Equity firm and took part in all aspects of the investment, management, and acquisition processes. He worked on the leadership transition during initial acquisitions in an executive capacity, working directly with C-Suite executives. Additionally, Nathan worked on strategy and special projects at the headquarters of a top 10 national insurance wholesaler, working directly with the CEO and COO. Following that role, he started a Private Equity Accelerator for aspiring entrepreneurs. At the accelerator, Nathan was responsible for training and mentoring the accelerator candidates in deal sourcing, due diligence, fundraising, transitioning to leadership roles post-acquisition, and continued success as CEOs in their new businesses.

Nathan also regularly serves in an advisory and board member capacity in a variety of industries including commercial electric, pet-care, film production, CNC manufacturing / injection molding, wholesale insurance, machine vision, event management, emergency restoration, janitorial, home cleaning, and an AI integrator of a Social-Professional ecosystem.

Joel

Joel acquired and led a commercial electrical contractor, founded as a family-run business in 2001. The original leadership team continues to be involved both as part-owners and operators. Joel managed day to day activity of the headquarters alongside the founder, a master electrician, who was able to get back to his roots and rejoin the team in the field! Under Joel's leadership, the business has seen significant and sustainable growth. In the years since, Joel has been able to scale and eventually step back to take a more strategic role.

Joel's next business encapsulated a personal passion – pet care! Joel has overhauled the sales processes, marketing techniques and literature, bench-marked and implemented accounting and logistics software, re-developed their website, and streamlined their management and payment structures to increase employee efficiency and take-home pay. While he loves working with pets and their humans, Joel spent too much time walking dogs himself and has handed-off most of the day-to-day to management and is always ready for another adventure.

Before his life as an entrepreneur, Joel received a Masters in Finance and the CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation to help other entrepreneurs manage their money as a financial adviser. He specialized in tax work for an elite boutique wealth manager outside of Boston, as well as industry behemoths such as Merrill Lynch and Voya.
